Judges’ comments: The judges were drawn to McKennitt’s photo for a number of reasons. First, they were impressed by the photographer’s ability to capture actors in a theatre setting under tricky lighting conditions. Second, the photo speaks loudly about atmosphere. Third, the chilling nature of the image of zombies is difficult to shake.
